5 Events to Bet on at Housebets this Weekend

Bet on Manchester United vs Liverpool, the Italian Grand Prix and the US Open at Housebets this weekend.

It promises to be another top weekend of sporting action, with a host of exciting sporting events lined up.

From Europe’s top leagues to the ongoing US Open at Flushing Meadows, this weekend is fully loaded with sporting events.

There is also the little matter of the Paris 2024 Paralympics which kicked off this week and will continue over this weekend.

Having said that, Housebets take a look at some of the sporting events you must not miss out on this weekend.

Manchester United vs Liverpool (Premier League)

The biggest football game this weekend takes place at Old Trafford with Manchester United hosting Liverpool.

It is the biggest rivalry in England and this weekend promises not to be the different.

Manchester United will be looking for a big statement win against their biggest rivals, while Liverpool are seeking to make it three wins out of three this new season.

United come into the game on the back of a 2-1 defeat against Brighton last weekend. The defeat left many critics wondering if Erik Ten Hag’s men are equipped to go up against the league’s elite.

However, they have the chance to prove critics wrong as they welcome Arne Slot’s men to Old Trafford.

United will be confident in their chances having won two of their last three meetings against Liverpool at Old Trafford.

As for Liverpool, this will be Slot’s first big test since he was appointed as Jurgen Klopp’s successor.

Slot is perfect so far but Sunday’s visit to Old Trafford will provide clarity on what to expect from his side this season.

Liverpool are the favourite, though, priced at 1.85 at Housebets while Manchester United are backed at 3.85 to get the win.

Inter Milan vs Atalanta (Serie A)

Away from England, there is another big clash in Italy’s top flight as Inter Milan host Atalanta at San Siro.

The two were arguably Italy’s best teams last season. Inter won the league title while Atalanta won the Europa League.

When these two sides clash, it is always interesting. Friday’s clash should be no different, with Inter looking to make it back-to-back home wins.

The champions started their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Genoa before beating Lecce 2-0 last weekend.

Meanwhile, Atalanta started with a 4-0 win at Lecce but suffered a 2-1 loss to Torino last time out.

History is, however, not on La Dea's side as they suffered a 4-0 loss to Inter at San Siro last season and have not beaten Simone Inzaghi’s men since 2018.

They are also the underdog according to odds as they are priced at 4.90 at Housebets to get the win, with Inter favoured at 1.60 to get the job done.

Athletic Bilbao vs Atletico Madrid (LaLiga)

Two of the next big clubs clash today as Athletic Bilbao take on Atletico Madrid. Athletic Bilbao started their campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Getafe before suffering a 2-1 loss to Barcelona last weekend.

They did get their first league win on Wednesday, beating Valencia 1-0. However, they will need to step up their game against Atletico Madrid, who are unbeaten in the league.

Diego Simeone's side are currently fourth on the table with five points, one win and two draws from their game.

Atletico Madrid are seen as the only team that can challenge Real Madrid and Barcelona but will need to start racking up wins.

The two teams are evenly matched according to odds. Bilbao are priced at 2.90 while Atletico Madrid are favoured at 2.45 all at Housebets

Italian Grand Prix

The European football season is not the only thing on TV this weekend. There is also Formula 1 action, with the train moving to Italy.

The Italian Grand Prix takes centre stage this weekend and it promises to be interesting. Championship leader and defending champion Max Verstappen will hope to get back to winning ways, having gone winless in his last four races, including last week’s Dutch Grand Prix home race.

Verstappen’s three successive wins at his home race ended last week after Mclaren’s Lando Norris crossed the chequered flag first.

Norris will be hoping to close the gap on Verstappen this weekend.

He is the favourite, priced at 1.99 ahead of Verstappen, who is the second favourite with 3.80 odds at Housebets.

US Open

Meanwhile, at Flushing Meadows, the US Open action continues over the weekend, with players like Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff all still in it.
