We are back again with Housebets' picks of the week as club football returns this weekend following last week’s international break.
With the World Cup just about eight months away, the qualifiers took centre stage last weekend across different continents.
However, club football is back this weekend for the next month before the October international break takes centre stage again.

With that said, let’s delve into our picks for this week.
Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest
Our Pick- Arsenal win and over 1.5
Arsenal will hope to bounce back when they host Nottingham Forest at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners started their campaign with wins against Manchester United and Leeds United, but lost to Liverpool in their final game before the international break.
The loss to Liverpool was disappointing, even though we are just three games into the new campaign.
Nonetheless, Arsenal can regain the top spot momentarily this weekend if they beat Forest in the early kick-off.
The Gunners should have no excuse, although they will be without Bukayo Saka, who is currently out with a hamstring injury.
Arsenal have a solid home record against Forest, having won their last six games at home against Saturday’s opponents.
Meanwhile, Forest will arrive at the match with a new manager in the person of Ange Postecoglou, who replaced Nuno Espirito Santo.
Nuno was dismissed during the international break after criticising the club’s business in the transfer market, leading to a fallout with the owner.
Postecoglou, who was sacked after leading Tottenham Hotspur to the Europa League trophy last season, arrives with his ideas.
The Greek-Australian is the antithesis of Nuno, as he is known for his attacking style of football, which is not what Forest were known for under their former Portuguese manager.
It remains to be seen how the Tricky Trees will adapt to Postecoglou's style, but it is unlikely to help them against the Gunners.
During his time as Spurs manager, Postecoglou lost three out of his four league games against Arsenal, picking up just one point.
Forest are also the clear underdogs going into the game, with the away side priced at 8.20 to get a rare win. Meanwhile, Arsenal are the favourites, with the Gunners priced at 1.36, according to odds from Housebets.
Newcastle vs Wolves
Our pick- Over 1.5 goals
Newcastle are winless so far this season, but will be looking to get their first win of the season when they host Wolves at St. James’ Park.
It has been a difficult start to the season for the Magpies, no thanks to the saga involving Alexander Isak.
Isak was embroiled in a war with Newcastle after announcing his intention to leave. Although the Magpies tried to keep him, they eventually had to sell him for a British transfer record fee to Liverpool.
With Isak gone, Newcastle brought in Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa, although the latter will miss the game against Wolves.
Nonetheless, Eddie Howe will now hope Woltemade can get up and running and help Newcastle secure their first league win of the season.
Meanwhile, Wolves have had a rough start to the season. They are the only side yet to pick up a point, having lost all three games so far.
It has not been easy for manager Vitor Pereira after losing some key players, although they were able to bring in some new replacements on deadline day, including Tolu Arokodare.
Still, a win for Wolves on Saturday seems unlikely as they have only won one of their last 22 league games at St James’ Park.
Newcastle are the favourites to continue their good home form against Wolves, as they are priced at 1.41 to get the three points.
Meanwhile, if you fancy an upset, you can back Wolves at 7.40, according to odds from Housebets. Over 1.5 goals, which is our pick, is priced at 1.25
West Ham vs Tottenham Hotspur
West Ham finally got their season up and running just before the international break as they thrashed Nottingham Forest 3-0.
The Hammers had lost to Sunderland and Chelsea prior to that win over Forest. The win, however, relieved some pressure on Graham Potter.
Potter will now hope that the win over the Tricky Trees is the fire they need to kickstart their season.
The issue, though, is that the Hammers' recent home form has not been great. They have lost three of their last six Premier League games at home, drawing the other three.
Meanwhile, Spurs will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Bournemouth. The Lilywhites started life under new manager Thomas Frank on a good note with two wins, but suffered a reality check just before the break.
Spurs were beaten 1-0 at home by Bournemouth, which once again highlighted their inconsistency.
They have the chance to get back to winning ways, though, as they take on a Hammers side still finding its feet under Potter.
It is not going to be easy, however, as Spurs have not won at West Ham since 2019. Despite a lack of success at West Ham, they are still the slight favourite, with Frank’s men priced at 2.10 to get the win.
Meanwhile, West Ham are priced at 3.40 to get their first league win at home in seven games, while over 2.5 goals is at 1.78.
Burnley vs Liverpool
It has been a rollercoaster return to the Premier League for Burnley. The Clarets were beaten 3-0 in their opener against Spurs before beating Sunderland in their second game of the season.
They then suffered a 3-2 loss to Manchester United in a thriller at Old Trafford just before the international break.
It does not get easier for Scott Parker’s men, as they host champions Liverpool at Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds are the only side with a 100% record so far, and they come into the game following their win over Arsenal just before the international break.
The bad news for the rest of the league is that Liverpool have not been at their best, but they are the only side with three wins out of three.
Arne Slot’s men will most likely make it four wins out of four this weekend against Burnley. The Reds have won 14 of their league games against Burnley, including the last five.
They are also the clear favourites, with Slot’s men priced at 1.32 to get the win on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester City vs Manchester United
The biggest game of the weekend will see Manchester United take on Manchester City in a big derby clash.
Both teams have had a disappointing start to the season, which makes this match more important than ever.
United started with a loss to Arsenal before playing a draw against Fulham. Although they finally got their first win of the season against Burnley, the Red Devils needed a last-minute penalty to secure the maximum points.
Before that win, they had suffered an embarrassing EFL Cup defeat to Grimsby Town on penalties.
Nonetheless, a win over their ‘noisy neighbours’ will change the mood in United’s camp and give them a huge confidence boost.
As for City, Pep Guardiola’s men also badly need a win going into this game. The Cityzens started their campaign with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Wolves, but have lost their last two.
They will now try to avoid a third consecutive defeat in the league when they host their neighbours.
It is not going to be easy, though, as Guardiola will be without a host of stars for that game due to injury. However, new signing Gianluigi Donnarumma could make his debut.
Despite their issues, the Cityzens are still the favourite at 1.79 to win the game. Meanwhile, United are the underdog at 4.10, while over 2.5 is priced at 1.55.
